Syncing Your Smartphone

The main function of the Chevy MyLink system is smartphone integration. You can connect a compatible smartphone to your Chevrolet through either Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, depending on your device. In older Chevy models, you must plug your phone into the vehicle with a USB or auxiliary cable to connect with the infotainment system, but almost all newer models use Bluetooth technology to locate your phone and pair it with the vehicle without any wires.

To connect your phone to Chevy MyLink, make sure that your phone has Bluetooth capabilities turned on. Press the “Phone” icon on the MyLink or Infotainment 3 touchscreen and select “Pair a Device.” Choose the Chevy MyLink connection option on your phone’s nearby Bluetooth connections, and a 4-digit pin will appear for you to enter on your vehicle’s touchscreen to finish the connection process.

Using Voice Recognition

Once you’ve successfully paired your phone with the Chevy MyLink system, you will be able to make phone calls or send text messages through your vehicle. Chevrolet wants you to keep your hands safely on the wheel at all times, which is why Chevy MyLink comes with voice recognition capabilities. Voice recognition learns to accurately recognize your voice and decipher certain words so that you can command your infotainment system to call or text specific contacts on your phone.

Listening to Music

With the help of Bluetooth audio streaming, you can enjoy your favorite music through the Chevy MyLink system. Just pull up your personal playlists of favorite albums on Apple Music or Spotify, and your vehicle’s Bluetooth connection will play that music through the infotainment system! The Chevy MyLink or Infotainment 3 system also comes with AM/FM radio for a selection of local stations and SiriusXM satellite radio for hundreds of music, sports, and news stations.

Getting GPS Navigation

The Chevrolet MyLink system also comes with GPS navigation to help guide you through all of your adventures. To use MyLink’s navigation option, simply press the “Maps” icon on your touchscreen. A map of your current location will pop up on the screen, and you will be able to enter a desired location for step-by-step directions on how to get there.
