1. Birding at Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge

One fun way to spend a quiet Sunday morning is by going birding at Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge at 2155 West Forest Street. You can hike along the 1.5-mile trail system or take a 12-mile auto tour in the comfort of your 2024 Chevy Equinox. You can see a wide range of birds depending on the time of year you visit the refuge. In the spring, you can expect to see geese and ducks.

During the summer months, there are over 70 species that do not fly north to cooler breeding grounds. In May, Canada geese hatch. In June and July, black-necked stilts, American avocets, and ducklings can be seen. Tundra swans can be found in abundance from mid-October through the end of the year. Birds you can expect to see from December to March include:

  • Rough-legged hawks
  • Prairie falcons
  • Bald eagles

2. Visiting the Brigham City Farmer’s Market

Visiting the Brigham City Farmer’s Market at 20 N. Main Street is another fun way to enjoy a Saturday. It operates from 4 PM to 8 PM every Saturday from June 24 to October 14. Even if you don’t need to buy produce, we strongly recommend checking out this farmer’s market. You can enjoy the beautiful weather, local, live entertainment, and access to many of the best food trucks in the area.

3. Fishing in Reese Pioneer Park

Finally, we recommend fishing in Reese Pioneer Park at 800 W Forrest St. In this park, you will find Pioneer Park Pond. This pond is home to a variety of fish species, including bluegill, largemouth bass, bullhead, channel catfish, and rainbow trout. Just keep in mind that you need to follow all Utah fishing regulations. For instance, you can only keep two fish daily. Additionally, you should release largemouth bass.

There is no shortage of fun ways to enjoy your weekend in the Brigham City area with a new Chevy. To keep your vehicle reliable for as long as possible, you need to stay on top of regular service appointments, including oil changes and tire rotations. Contact us at Hansen Motor Co to schedule a service appointment every three months, and we’ll keep your car running strong.
