This attention to detail colors every aspect of their bakery and has helped them to expand to four other nearby locations in Utah. Their bread is moist, rich, and full of flavor. It’s made from special high-protein wheat that’s freshly ground every day.
Their menu has ten different grilled sandwiches, including the ever-popular Reuban and the classic BLT. Vegetarians are not forgotten, as they serve one of the best peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in the area, and a superb veggie sandwich with your choice of filling.
Idle Isle Cafe
Idle’s is over 100 years old and still occupies its original home at 24 S Main Street. Their decor has been faithfully maintained just as it was in 1921. The elegant hardwood benches, marble, onyx soda fountain, and other touches make you feel like you’ve been transported back to a simpler time. This family-owned cafe believes in old-fashioned service. All the food served here is freshly prepared, which takes a little longer, but ensures the highest quality.
Their sandwich selection features nine of the most popular choices, including a succulent roast beef on white, wheat, rye, or sourdough. Their breaded and fried halibut sandwich with provolone cheese, tartar sauce, lettuce, and tomato is a very popular choice. Idle’s offers a range of entrees, salads, and specials. They’re open from 11 am Monday to Saturday.
Gridelis North
Founded in 2012, Gridelis enjoys an excellent reputation as the place to go for a great sandwich. The restaurant was founded by two cousins, interestingly neither is called Gridelis. The restaurant’s name is a combination of Grill and Deli. They make gyros, burgers, salads, burritos, and sandwiches. For us, their sandwiches are their signature food.
They have 15 types of sandwiches, including the ever-popular pastrami and the teriyaki chicken. We love the teriyaki chicken. Gridelis is located at 380 N 2000 W, Marriott-Slaterville.
