The Old Grist Mill
Head to 750 W 1075 S to try this place, which is open from 7 am to 8 pm Monday through Thursday, and until 9 pm on Friday and Saturday. The staff here are great, the food is high-quality and fresh, and you’ll love the amazing variety. The specialty here is baked goods, and they really are special. The Old Grist Mill mills their own wheat and freshly bakes everything they sell, every morning.
So what can you get here for brunch? Why not a sandwich: choose white, wheat, sourdough, or multigrain, and spread it with literally anything you can imagine. Then choose your meat, all kinds of veggies, and cheese. There are also great grilled sandwiches, soups and pizza choices, bagels of all sorts, and the muffins! Try their cinnamon drop. You might also try the French toast or the amazing blackberry scones.
The Rusted Spoon
The Rusted Spoon is located at 2645 US-89 in Perry, and it’s open from 7 am until 9 pm every day. The food here is delicious and homemade, and it’s all served up by great people. There’s plenty to choose from here, and that means it’s the perfect spot for bringing everyone when you want a big brunch outing.
We highly recommend you try their pork chops and eggs, which come with hash browns, two eggs, and toast. The breakfast burrito is also delicious, and the steak and eggs are amazing. If you’re interested in omelets or skillets, this is the place to come. And if you want something that’s not breakfast, try their Berry Good Salad, which comes with spinach, berries, almonds, and gorgonzola cheese.
J & D’s
J & D’s is located at 720 S Main St, and you’ll find them open from 6 am every day. They close at 9 pm, but do call if there’s an upcoming major holiday and make sure they’re open. You can reach them at (435) 723-3811. The food here is amazing, and the prices are great.
The waffles here are really fantastic: be sure to get the ones with blueberries. We also love their Mega Omelette, which is six eggs, cheese, sausage, ham, bacon, peppers, onions, and more. We’d also suggest their grilled bacon or ham and cheese sandwiches, and the clubhouse, which is a triple-decker sandwich with turkey, bacon, mayo, lettuce, and tomato.
