With its new looks, upscale interior, and choice of three engines, the 2025 GMC Yukon is an outstanding choice for a large SUV. With seating for eight, loads of cargo room, and great towing capacity, this is a vehicle that can move people and their stuff in style.

Engine, Transmission, and Performance
The 2025 Yukon comes with a choice of three different engines. GMC’s base engine is a 5.3-liter V-8 with 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. A more powerful 6.2-liter V-8 is available in higher trims and churns out 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. Lastly, all Yukon trim levels have available a 3.0-liter inline-six Duramax diesel engine with 305 horsepower and 395 pound-feet of torque. All Yukon models come with an automatic 10-speed transmission.
The 2025 Yukon comes in either rear-wheel or all-wheel drive. Its independent rear suspension makes for a smooth drive and excellent handling. The AT4 model is the Yukon’s off-road oriented trim, and performs extremely well off the pavement.
Towing Capacity
The Yukon offers excellent towing capacity under all three power trains. The towing capacity for the rear-wheel drive model with the 5.3-liter V-8 engine is 8,400 pounds. The 6.2-liter V-8 and the Duramax diesel are rated at 8,200 pounds. There are several trailer towing features available, including Transparent Trailer View, jackknife alert, and blind-zone steering assist.
Interior, Comfort, and Cargo
The Yukon offers seating for up to eight with second- and third-row bench seats. The second-row bench seat can be swapped out for two captain’s chairs, reducing the seating capacity to seven. The spacious interior offers ample head and leg room in all three rows. There are many options for adding luxury to the interior, including leather seats, wooden trim and chrome accents in higher models.
The Yukon’s cavernous cabin offers loads of cargo space. The cargo volume behind the third seat is 25.5 cubic feet. With the third row stowed, cargo volume is 72.5 cubic feet, and with the second and third-row seats stowed, there is a maximum cargo volume of 122.8 cubic feet.
Infotainment and Connectivity
All 2025 Yukon trims come with a vertically oriented 16.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that includes Google built-in compatibility. Wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM, and a Wi-Fi hotspot all come standard. USB ports are found in all three rows. The Yukon also comes standard with a 10-speaker Bose sound system, with an 18 or 22-speaker Bose system available.
Safety
The Yukon comes standard with automated emergency braking with forward-collision warning. Lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control with hands-free driving are all available.
