Those who want power, safety, and the latest technology in their vehicle will find a lot to love about the GMC Sierra 3500. It’s a truck that packs a punch, and it certainly has a lot to offer, so let’s take a look at what makes this truck one of the best.

It Tows Efficiently

Do you need something with a high towing capacity? No problem. The Sierra 3500 has a standard trailering package that offers four-pin and seven-pin connectors alongside Hitch Guidance. The Integrated Trailer Brake Controller is available on the Pro trim, and it’s standard on all other iterations of this truck.

The highest max towing capacity this truck offers is 36,000 pounds with the fifth wheel/gooseneck setup and a diesel engine. Even the conventional configuration of the truck has a max towing capacity of 16,000 pounds with the gas engine, and that should be plenty for transporting heavy loads as needed.

It Has Excellent Visibility

Trucks are big and commanding, so you need a lot of visibility to make sure you’re safe on the road and that everybody else is safe around you. Luckily, a rear vision camera is standard on the Pro and SLE models. The SLT  has a standard HD view camera that’s also available on the SLE, and HD Surround Vision is standard on the Denali with availability for the SLT and A4T. The HD Surround Vision camera package includes two trailer view cameras.

The array of cameras available across the trims should help you feel a little more secure, as the cameras offer you a greater view of your surroundings. You can watch out for debris and vehicles coming up behind you, and you can keep an eye on your trailer if you have the HD Surround Vision setup.

It Has Helpful Driver Awareness Features

The available camera systems aren’t the only features that’ll help you feel more secure while driving. There’s a Safety Alert Seat feature standard on the Denali and available on the A4T and SLT.  Meanwhile, there are many other safety features available across various trims. Features include IntelliBeam automatic high beams, Following Distance Indicator, Lane Departure Warning, and Automatic Emergency Braking.

It Has the Latest Technology

Want to stay connected and entertained on all your journeys? That won’t be a problem in the Sierra 3500. You can choose between a 7-inch and an 8-inch diagonal touchscreen depending on what Sierra 3500 trim you opt for. The SLT, AT4, and Denali trims have standard smartphone connectivity, and it’s also available on the SLE. Plus, the Denali has a standard navigation system that’s also available on the AT4 and SLT.
